Dr. Adam Feit

Known for his passion, drive, and enthusiasm for excellence in coaching, Dr. Adam Feit has over 20 years of experience in the areas of strength and conditioning, performance nutrition, and sport and exercise psychology coaching. A former NFL and NCAA Division-I strength and conditioning coach, Adam now serves as the Program Director & Assistant Professor of Exercise Science and Strength and Conditioning Fieldwork Coordinator at Springfield College.

Adam’s journey into strength and conditioning started off with a season-ending injury in high-school. During that time, he learned about Springfield College and eventually completed his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Exercise Science while garnering all-consensus All-American football honors as a captain of the Springfield College football team. He later attended The Citadel and California University of Pennsylvania to finish his Master’s degree in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention.  

Before coming back home to Springfield College, Adam recently worked as the Head Strength & Sport Psychology Coach for Precision Nutrition, Inc., the largest nutrition coaching, certification, and software company in the world. Prior to Precision Nutrition, Adam was the Co-founder and Director of Sports Performance for Reach Your Potential Training (RYPT), helping mentor and train over 5,000 youth athletes over the course of five years. Adam also served as a college and professional Strength and Conditioning Coach and Nutrition Coordinator for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, Eastern Michigan University, University of Louisville, and The Citadel.

Adam is certified by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is also a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and Mentor from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa). In addition to his strength and conditioning certifications, he is also a certified Level 2 Master Nutrition Coach from Precision Nutrition. Adam is also a certified Mental Performance Consultant through AASP, the Association of Applied Sport Psychology.

He is the co-author of the Coaches Guide to Jump Training, Complete Guide to Training the Female Athlete, and recently completed his Ph.D. in Sport and Exercise Psychology. Adam is a published researcher and an active mental performance coach to professional hockey and strongman competitors.

Dr. Mary Kate Feit is currently employed as the Graduate Program Director & Assistant Professor of Strength and Conditioning in the School of Physical Education, Performance, and Sport Leadership at Springfield College. Mary Kate’s love for strength and conditioning originated when she began sports performance training under fellow Springfield College Alum Mike Boyle at Mike Boyle’s Strength and Conditioning Center.

After realizing her passion for coaching at the young age of 16, she spent the next seven summers coaching athletes while finishing her high school and collegiate education. Mary Kate completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross where she was a division one collegiate soccer player. She continued her education by completing her graduate degree in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from Springfield College.

Mary Kate has an extensive career in sports performance including time spent as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Iowa and the University of Louisville as well as the Adult Program Coordinator at Reach Your Potential Training. Since then, Mary Kate completed her Ph.D. in Teaching and Administration from Springfield College and is now a faculty member in the Exercise Science and Athletic Training department, mentoring students in the strength and conditioning graduate program.

In addition to her role as an Assistant Professor at Springfield College, Mary Kate is the Program Director of the Strength and Conditioning graduate program and serves as the Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning, assisting in the oversight of the strength and conditioning training of the college’s near 700 athletes.

You may recognize Mary Kate from the soccer fields in Wilbraham. Mary Kate is actively involved in coaching her children, Cody and Macy, in soccer and rarely misses an opportunity to watch them play the various other sports that they have become involved in such as baseball, basketball, lacrosse, and track. She is thrilled to be using her skills to assist in the reduction of injury and the increase in performance of local athletes through her work with TFP!

Connor Joyce

Connor Joyce

Director of Personal Training & Assistant Director of Sports Performance

Connor Joyce has been a dedicated member of Team Feit Performance since 2024 and currently serves as the Director of Personal Training and Assistant Director of Sports Performance. Known for his enthusiasm and high-energy coaching style, Connor strives to bring positivity, motivation, and purpose to every training session. He believes that great coaching extends beyond sets, reps, and performance metrics; it starts with building genuine relationships and understanding the individual behind the athlete.

A graduate of Springfield College with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a concentration in Strength and Conditioning, Connor combines evidence-based training principles with a relationship-first coaching philosophy. He earned his NSCA Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) certification and continues to pursue opportunities to grow as a coach and practitioner. 

Connor’s versatility allows him to work with a wide range of clients, from first-grade athletes learning foundational movement skills, to older adults focused on maintaining strength and independence, he’s had experience working with all populations. Regardless of age, experience level, or goals, Connor approaches every person with the same commitment. Helping them become the best version of themselves, whether in sports performance or life

Connor believes that meaningful results are built on trust, communication, and connection. He also believes that training should be enjoyable and rewarding. Establishing a healthy relationship with exercise is one of his highest priorities, which is why he strives to create an environment where people can work hard, challenge themselves, and still have fun throughout the process. Connor encourages clients to reflect on their progress and recognize that growth is measured not only by outcomes but by the commitment shown along the way.

Whether helping an athlete improve first-step quickness, develop greater strength and power, or assisting an adult in living a healthier, more confident life. He is dedicated to creating an environment where every individual feels supported, challenged, and empowered to succeed.
